MOUSER launches the first LED innovation quantum dot technology using QD technology

The distribution of electronic components focused on the introduction of new products and the provision of massive stocks is now available from Osram Opto Semiconductors' Oscomq® S 3030 QD LEDs. The mid-power LED uses quantum dot (QD) tunable optical conversion technology developed for area lighting and downlight applications to give lamps more efficient and superior color rendering.

The product is Osram's first LED with QD technology, ensuring high efficiency at very high CRI, reducing the performance gap between current CRI 80 and CRI 90 LEDs. Another unique feature of the Osconiq S 3030 QD technology is that it allows the encapsulated quantum dots to be protected from humidity and other external factors that are most likely to pose a risk to the functionality of the LED.

The Osram Osconiq S 3030 QD LED has a CRI of at least 90 and is available in warm white and cool white (2,700 K to 4,000 K) illumination colors. The LED's innovative QD phosphor solution enables the CRI 90 LED to achieve an outstanding performance of 173 lm/W at 3000k, which is the best value for a 0.2 W high performance LED. The device meets ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 (HBM, Class 3B) requirements and can withstand electrostatic discharge (ESD) voltages up to 8 kV.

The Osconiq S 3030 QD LED features a 3 x 3 mm compact surface mount and provides a 120 degree beam angle at 50% illumination. The LED has a luminous flux of 31 lm at 3000K and has a forward voltage of 2.75V, a forward current range of 10mA to 180mA, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C.
